Dr. Matthew Lim

Hello! My name is Dr. Matthew Allen Lim. I was born on the island of Oahu and was raised in an Ilokano-speaking home in Waipahu. I graduated from Waipahu High School and attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa where I received my bachelor’s degree in Biology, a minor in the Ilokano Language and Literature, and a master’s degree in Public Health specializing in Epidemiology. I then received my medical degree at the John A. Burns School of Medicine and completed my training as a pediatrician at the University of Hawaii Pediatric Residency Program based at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.

On my free time, I love going on adventures with my wife and two children, whether it be going on a hike or trying out a new restaurant. My hobbies include watching movies, cooking and baking, and board games. I am passionate about serving the Filipino community of Hawaii, especially those who have immigrated, as I recognize that language and culture can sometimes be a barrier to better communication and health.

I am happy to be a part of the Abinsay Pediatrics team and I look forward to meeting you and your family!
